After over six decades, Heritage Audio has revived one of the most desired program equalizers of all time with the PEQ-2, a passive EQ rack unit with powerful tone shaping controls and a versatility that goes beyond even the legendary Pultec. 26 frequency options provide wide ranging possibilities when processing signals, including the ability to boost and cut at different frequencies for unique or interesting transformations.

Adjustable HF boost bandwidth (sharp or broad) and a frequency selection range from 20 Hz to 20 kHz makes the PEQ-2 an inviting yet powerful processor that allows for quick or granular adjustments of the frequencies in your material in any recording, mixing, or mastering application. The PEQ-2 includes the HA-PSU04 and an AC cord, so you can start processing audio right away.

The PEQ-2 has nearly twice as many frequency options to choose from when compared to the Pultec: 26 versus the Pultec´s 14. The low end is infinitely more controllable as the LANG gives you the ability to boost and cut at different frequencies, unlike the Pultec.

Boost or Droop

With independent controls for boost and droop (cut) of the high band, you can quickly transform your material in interesting, creative ways that you may have never considered before. There is also a HF boost bandwidth control to adjust the frequency range covered by the boost.

Each boost and droop knob has its own assigned frequency selection knob and its own gain range. There is also a gain adjustment trimmer for adding +16 dB or subtracting -12 dB from the overall gain range.

Simple, Reliable Connectivity

The PEQ-2 is easy to integrate into any rack setup or studio environment with its 2 RU sizing and simple, balanced XLR 3-pin I/O. Gold-plated connectors ensure reliable signaling for years without fear of corrosion, and the included, external HA PSU04 power supply removes power circuitry from the unit's internal circuitry, minimizing noise or interference for superior performance.
