Pop Audio Pop Filter (Studio Edition)

The Pop Filter Studio Package from pop audio gives you three separate pop filters to fight against plosives. It's also useful for protecting your mic from the inevitable moisture a vocalist produces whilst vocalizing into a microphone.

As a coffeemaker might come with different filters for different styles of brewing, so too does this package, which offers a traditional fabric filter, a durable metal filter, and finally, a foam filter (while not as durable as the metal filter, the foam filter offers the most transparency of the three). Thus, the different options offered allow you to tailor your recording for the situation and the performer.

Whichever filter you choose, the attachment point utilizes a bayonet-style, twist-and-click mechanism. It’s arm, though not a gooseneck, allows for both flexible positioning and droop-free stability. The butterfly clamp is lined with high-friction rubber to ensure that it will not move on your mic stand, and likewise, will not damage the finish of your stand. A thread adapter is included.

Three Included Filters:

Fabric: This is a traditional dual-layer fabric filter, constructed from two layers of acoustically transparent fabric, suitable for many recording situations.

Metal: This filter is easy to clean, suitable for studio and stage recording, and is built from two metal disks, each punched with hundreds of 0.8mm diameter holes. This filter offers acoustic transparency and durability.

Foam: For a sound more transparent than the previous filters listed above, use this hydrophobic, 20ppi foam filter, which prevents air blasts and moisture from damaging your microphone and ruining recordings.

Simple Attachment-Point Design
All filters attach onto the unit with a proprietary bayonet-style attachment mechanism. Simply choose the filter you need and screw it in place.

Stable Set-and-Forget Arm
Using a ball-and-socket joint arm, you can position your pop filter however you want and be confident the filter will not droop.

Butterfly Clamp
The butterfly clamp provided secures on your mic stand without damaging it, and doesn't require constant readjustment. Featuring a butterfly design with rubber lining, the clamp makes positioning your filter a simple task, gripping to the stand in a manner which resists vertical and rotational movements.
