Lynx Studio Technology Aurora(n) Overview
The Aurora(ⁿ) 8 TB from Lynx Studio Technology is a mastering-grade 8-channel AD/DA converter which supports up to 24-bit/192 kHz conversion and comes with a preinstalled LT-TB Thunderbolt interface. It offers significant performance and flexibility improvements over the company's well-regarded line of Aurora converters, providing an even greater level of wide-open, uncompressed, and unequalized audio for studios, mastering facilities, remote recording, broadcast, live performance or production installations.
The Aurora(ⁿ) 8 TB combines Hilo-like technology with the latest FPGA processors, to achieve greater transparency and reduction of both noise and distortion. One word clock input and three outputs let you use the unit as a master clock or slave it to an external clock. In addition, the Aurora(ⁿ) is equipped with an LSlot expansion bay which allows for a wide array of current connectivity options such as Thunderbolt, Dante, Pro Tools | HD, and USB, but can also be used to add more channels and additional hardware, as your production needs evolve.
Other features include an on-board microSD player/recorder capable of up to 32 channels of direct recording and playback, ideal when working in the field. Two headphone outputs with independent volume control let you monitor your sound with audiophile-grade precision, while a bright LCD display gives you immediate access to all levels and functions, right from the front panel.
